O Modernismo no Sotavento Algarvio
O Modernismo no Sotavento Algarvio was a photo exhibition celebrating the anniversary of Álvaro de Campos in Tavira. The exhibition explored the Modernist architecture of the eastern Algarve, with a particular focus on Tavira and its architectural heritage.
The exhibition was subsequently presented at the Associação Cultural Re-Criativa República 14 in Olhão, where it introduced a wider audience to the Modernist architecture of the Sotavento Algarvio.
The accompanying catalogue includes photographs and a map showing the locations of important historic and new Modernist architectural projects in Tavira.

The Residential Architecture in Tavira

One of the Algarve’s important Modernist architects, Gomes da Costa designed a number of distinctive residential projects in Tavira, reflecting his contribution to the development of Modernist architecture in the region.
