Quarteira: Buildings... lost in new real estate developments.
Sometimes striking buildings are getting lost when they have to make way for new real estate developments. Two special houses from the 1950s at the Quarteira beach by architect Manuel Laginha have made way for new constructions.
But his apartment block 'Laginha e Seguro buildingon' the boulevard remains standing, next to the renowned Dom José Beach Hotel, which incorporated the first design for the then called Hotel/Restaurante 'Toca do Coelho' by architect Manuel Gomes da Costa.
