PORTIMAO Modernist architecture walking tour

The Modernist Faro is thrilled to present the First Modernist Architecture walking tour in Portimao, a city famous for its Modernist heritage. This tour is dedicated to the appreciation and promotion of mid-century buildings in the city center. In collaboration with architect Luisa Castro, daughter of Modernist architect Antonio Vicente Castro who made around a hundred of Modernist builings in the Algarve, especially in Portimao.António Vicente Castro (1920-2002) left a legacy of reference for the history of architecture in the Algarve. 

The walking tour features buildings and houses of interest primarily date back to the 1950s and 1970s.
