Modern Architecture in Olhão - part 02.

Video:from an Architectural Tour of Olhão - part 2., paired with the photo exhibition MODERNISM IN TAVIRA, held from February 16 to March 16, 2019 at Re-Criativa República 14 in Olhão.

The exhibition first debuted in Tavira, celebrating the birthday of Álvaro de Campos. Fernando Pessoa chose Tavira as the birthplace of Álvaro de Campos—his modernist alter ego and the poet who would come to embody the spirit of modernity.

That same modern spirit echoed through the 1950s and '60s, when Tavira saw some modernist architecture rise in the city.

In connection with the exhibition, we also organized architectural tours in Olhão, laying the groundwork for a new photo exhibition on Modernist Architecture in Olhão.
